We had an amazing time hiking the EBC! Our guide Lhakpa was fantastic, and always went at our pace and offered assistance when needed. We had a few instances of sickness, and he went above and beyond in helping us out. We never had to worry about any of the logistics and iTrek did a great job of answering our questions and making sure we always felt safe and comfortable. I would recommend iTrek to anyone considering this trek!

The EBC trek with iTrekEverest was incredible and I highly recommend it. From chatting with Rick before the trip to ensure we were prepared, to Sonam picking us up at the airport and organizing everything effectively, to Lhakpa and Pudhi and our amazing porters taking care of us and making sure we made it to EBC. The experience itself and views are one thing that I think people should definitely go for. But I want to highlight how well the team took care of us. The guides were incredibly attentive to our pace, our health, our mood, and our needs. Even when some of us got sick, they were there to ensure we were safe and had what we need to make it to the goal. I am so grateful to have had such great people taking care of us on such a challenging journey. It’s a challenging and anxiety inducing endeavor but iTrekEverest definitely takes on the stress of safety and off of their trekkers’ plates.

The 15 day Everest Base Camp trek that I went on with my wife and our friends far exceeded even my wildest expectations. You probably already know the views and the beauty of the Himalayas are well worth it so instead of talking about that, allow me to talk about what made this trip special for us: To begin with, it was easy, logistically speaking. Everything was taken care of for us: hotel reservation, tea house reservations, flights to and from Lukla, our luggage... Everything. We also had Lhakpa, our exceptional trekking guide. He was dedicated to making the trek a enjoyable, relaxing, and most importantly, a safe experience. For example, when I unfortunately got giardia on the trek Lhakpa made sure we made it to the next medical clinic as soon as possible. Similarly, when my wife was experiencing altitude sickness, he was quick to get us to the medical clinic to have her checked on. But it's more than that, he also offered to carry our bags when we were struggling, and was always helping us with our things. He is a truly amazing human being. On top of all that, he also provided insight and details into the culture of the Sherpa people and his experience as a trekking guide. He was a joy to be around and I think all of us will miss him and we hope we can see him again sometime in the near future.

This was a beautiful and moderately challenging trek. Our guide, porter, and the entire Itrek Everest team were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. I particularly enjoyed the Cho La Pass and Gokyo side of the trek. There are many, many visitors on the EBC route and far less visitors on the Gokyo side, which made that area more enjoyable to me. The Nepali people are very kind and hospitable. The teahouses are fairly primitive as you increase in elevation, so be prepared for sleeping in very cold conditions and sharing a community toilet and sink as running water becomes limited at higher elevations. Take your time to acclimate and also be mindful of sanitary practices to maintain your health. Overall, this is a great route. Do your research and enjoy!

We had a great time! Our guide and porter were amazing. From start to end, we felt very taken care of - even when we experienced weather challenges and decided on a last minute change in our itinerary. We would highly recommend iTrek for anyone considering a trekking trip to Nepal.
